Remember a few weeks ago when I mentioned that Yelp had taken over as my number one obsession? Well, apparently I was listed as one of the five top yelpers on the MSP email today. Which means my obsession is apparently one that can fall into the “good addictions” category. And to continue my yelp-obsession, you can now follow my reviews on the site with the little mappy on my sidebar.

Disclaimer: I take no responsibility if you become as enthralled with the site as this girl.

A mouse broke one of my heels today. True story. I went into our back room this afternoon to grab something, and a mouse literally slid down this futon mattress that is up against a wall. My brain registered three things: SLIDING.LIVE.MOUSE. Clearly, the natural reaction would be to scream and jump my way out of the room. The only problem being that our basement floors are seriously uneven, due to being installed in 1803. Or something like that. So my left foot hit the ground far before my right, causing my heel to snap in two. DAMNIT MOUSE! YOU BROKE MY HEEL! Yet another reason why I.do.not.like.mice.

It’s weird to not have the Minnesota Wild roster in town this week. Or next week. It’s kind of sad: winter in Minny is hockey time in Minny. But I suppose it creates more opportunities to tweak my mad snowboarding skills.

Did you know former Minnesota Wild roster man Aaron Voros is on twitter? He suspended his account a few weeks ago and deleted all of his old posts, but is back now. And you can follow him! Just be prepared to get a million updates about what he does with ‘SeanAveryDotCom’. Cause that’s actually what Voros calls Avery. Idol-rific, much?

GREAT news! Chef Daddy-o is working in Florida right now. Which means I am flying down there for a little fun in the sun next week! No more winter paleness! No more bone chilling cold! No more only wearing boots! WOO! That was my inner woo girl making her way out for a second. Don’t worry, you couldn’t normally classify me as a woo girl. But sometimes…when the timing is perfect…and I’m reaaaally happy…a little woo-ness just escapes. And then disappears just as quickly as the woo is spoken. Again. Florida? WOO!
