My dad got Gopher basketball tickets for the game last night against Northwestern. Pretty sweet, considering that’s usually this girl’s job. I love edge-of-your-seat games. But only when we win. Know what else I love? The Minnesota Rouser. It makes me swoon. We are so lucky to live close to a Division One school that recruits great athletes for all of the Minnesota Gopher rosters. Fan spirit is never in short supply. Plus, all that maroon and gold makes me feel like I was sorted a Griffindor.
And speaking of Harry Potter, did ya’ll know that there’s a Harry Potter Theme Park opening this Spring at Universal Studios Orlando? You can go check out Hogwarts, get a butter beer in Hogsmeade and even ride a Hippogriff! I am SO EXCITED. Scoff if you will, but we’re planning a fab vaca down there once it’s officially open…
The roomie got a new soccer mom vest for Christmas. She likes to show it off at our apartment with her sweet Riverdancing moves. I keep telling her to wear it to the bar one of these nights. She could pair it with an up north accent, doncha know.

Also: tonight on the Minnesota Wild schedule the boys take on the Detroit Red Wings at the Xcel Energy Center. Again. Second time in a week. Hoping for a big Wild victory – Detroit’s having some injury issues, but so are we: both of our superstar goalies have injuries. We don’t even know who will be in the net tonight. I have this feeling that it’s gonna be a nailbiter.
My birfday is next week. And I’m still lusting after this puppy…
Now all I need is a name. And my building to waive this whole no pets policy thing.
